Product Information
There are many people who are hard of hearing and this induction loop is designed to to aid people with hard of hearing.
What is the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA)?
The disability discrimination act aims to stop discrimination against deaf or disabled customers or someone who buys goods, or uses facilities or services. It seeks to give deaf or disabled people equal and enforceable rights and access to goods, facilities or services. The DDA says that service providers are not allowed to treat disabled people less favourably because of their disability.

What is the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA)?
The HRA aims to protect people's human rights. It does this by saying:

that public authorities in Britain must act in a way which is compatible with the rights under the European Convention on Human Rights
that British courts must interpret the law in line with the rights in the convention
that when the government introduces new legislation into parliament it must tell parliament whether or not it is compatible with the convention.
The HRA only applies to "public authorities". Public authorities include local authorities and councils with social services responsibilities.
